    Namo Buddha Monastery is also known as Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery. It follows the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery is a very significant pilgrimage destination for Buddhist devotees, as the myth of Namo Buddha monastery is connected with the story of Prince Mahasattva, who was born as a Prince. Namobuddha means the New Incarnation of Lord Buddha. He sacrificed himself by feeding his body to the hungry tigress.  

    You have a couple of options on either starting the hike from the Namobuddha monastery or ending the hike there. We recommend that you begin the hike from there. 

    After exploring the world-renowned spiritual destination of Namobuddha Monastery, you gradually hike downhill, and one mystery will be awaiting you, which is naturally grown Marijuana fields.
