How to know if I'm fit enough to trek?

Trekking requires good physical fitness. It means you should be able to walk 5-7 hours a day. If you have adverse health, it is not suitable for the altitude trek, so choose lower altitude trekking. To ensure that you can go to the high altitude, visit your doctor and get pieces of advice.

How can we get acclimatized in high altitude?

Well, there are several ways that you can follow. Nepal Kameleon Holidays applies some of the easiest ways for acclimatization. Trek high sleep low is our method of trekking. Another way is to take a rest and acclimatization day and you can walk around that habituates your acclimatization level. It is the most important part. Eating foods with soup and drinking warm soups keep you warm and energized.

What if I get altitude sickness or any injuries during trekking?

High altitude sickness if often asked question. And it is in fact really necessary to know about this matter. Our guide applies first aid treatment, and if it is an emergency and do not have another way out of the medical access, helicopter evacuation is the ultimate way. But, you need to know that it is an emergency. Otherwise, trekking down or taking a rest day can be effective.

What should I pack for the trekking?

Packings depend on the trekking you are going to do. If you are going alpine trekking, you need warm clothes, a windproof down jacket, and other things. If you are doing lower-altitude trekking, less equipment is required. Please, see our equipment checklist.

What foot wears are recommended?

Comfortable boots with thick soles and warm woolen socks are necessary for trekking. If it is alpine altitude, bring more spare socks. It is easy for you to bring slippers and change at the lodge.

How much a porter carry?

Generally, porters carry 15-20 kg of baggage in the trekking. It can be more in altitude trekking. Avoid unnecessary equipment and put them in the hotel's storage or the locker.

Should I tip my guide and porter?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is expected. It makes the lives of guides and porters easy.

How much money should I bring along?

We provide food and accommodation along with any transportation service on fully inclusive trips. However, if the trip is extended in your interest or due to an unavoidable situation, you need to cover the extra cost. Also, if you want to have the things not included in our cost, it is easy for you. So, bring some cash with you.

What communication options can be found on the trekking route?

Mobile phone connections are available in many parts of Nepal nowadays. Besides this, internet wifi connections are spreading throughout the country. So, communication service is easily accessible on most trekking routes.

Do I need to have insurance? Where can I obtain a policy?

Travel insurance is an important part of trekking and any other adventure activities. If you are going higher than 2700 meters, high altitude symptoms start to be seen. In the remote countryside, there are no facilitated hospitals that can care the emergency situations. Having travel insurance helps you to trek confidently and if there is required of an emergency evacuation, Heli rescue is necessary. You should do insurance regarding the high altitude of your trekking destination. But if you are taking city tours or lower altitude treks, it's okay even if you do not have insurance. Everest Base Camp Wedding Trek - Itinerary

Day01 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Explore the local market in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day02 Shopping day (optional sightseeing).

You can take this day for a half day sightseeing and prepare for the upcoming trekking in the Everest region. The wonderful days are about to begin from tomorrow onwards. Overnight at the hotel.

Day03 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding.

On this day, fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (in the peak season, it will be from Ramechhap, Manthai). Landing at the tiny airstrip, manage the luggage, and set out for the excursion through the sherpa villages. It is a trek above the Dudh Koshi River and cross the bridge to reach Phakding. Overnight at the hotel.

Day04 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.

Begin the journey after having breakfast at Phakding and cross a couple of suspension bridges. Completing the paperwork procedure of the Sagarmatha National Park and obtaining permits, continue the journey from Jorsalle. The route is gradually uphill and reaches the horseshoe-shaped bustling town of Sherpa-Namche Bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.

Day05 Hike around Khumjung for acclimatization.

It's important to be fit in the alpine altitude. Having breakfast, hike towards the Everest View hotel, and explore Khumjung and Khunde. The magical scenery of the Everest Himalayan vistas appears amazingly. It helps you to breathe well in the higher altitudes hereafter. Overnight at the hotel.

Day06 Trek from Namche to Tengbuche.

Heading from Namche Bazaar after breakfast, you climb via Kyangjuma. The route is gradually uphill and from the edge, hike down to Phunki Tenga. It's the best location to have lunch at the Riverside. After lunch, hike gradually to Tengboche, a pristine spiritual destination. You can witness the evening prayers. Overnight at the hotel.

Day07 Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche.

Heading from Tengboche, we follow the route toward Deboche and Milingo. You reach Somare for lunch and continue the trek via Orsho. Then hike above the Imja Khola River and reach a tiny windswept village of the Khumbu region- Dingboche. Overnight at the hotel.

Day08 Side trip to Chhukung for acclimatization.

As acclimatization is a crucial matter we need to adapt to the increasing thin air region hereafter. So, hike towards Chhukung or climb the Nagerjun peak that keeps you fit and adapt to the altitude. Exploration of the windswept village of Dingboche is an amazing experience. Overnight at the hotel.

Day09 Trek from Dingbuche to Lobuche.

Heading from Dingboche to Lobuche is a gradual walk via Dusa and Parlung Kharka. Thukla will be the lunch point today. Then hike through the tombstones lined up in the memorial of the climbers who passed away during Mt. Everest expeditions. Crossing the Thukla Pass (4830 meters), you can take a tea break as there is a tea shop at the pass. Then, proceed to Lobuche, located at 4910 meters. Overnight at the hotel.

Day10 Trek to Gorakshep.

A gradual walk from Lobuche crosses the Lobuche Pass, which is 5110 meters. You reach Gorakshep at lunchtime, but the walking should be slow and acclimatizing as the altitude is in the thin air region that challenges you with less oxygen in the air. Arriving at Gorakshep, take a rest and prepare for the big day tomorrow. Overnight at the hotel.

Day11 Everest base camp wedding hike and photography.

Amazing day. Good morning from Everest Base Camp, located at 5364 meters above sea level. It often remains chilling out there, but imagine a symbolic wedding session and photography, it's just incredible. Your witnesses will be some of the highest mountains in the world, including the top of the world- Mt. Everest. The day is just great to write a history of getting married at the Everest base camp, which is a unique experience. Then back to Gorakshep and enjoy a relaxing day. Overnight at the hotel.

Day12 Hike to Kalapatthar and fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter.

After breakfast, hike to Kalapatthar, and enjoy some photoshoots at the remarkable landscape and the mind-blowing Himalayan peaks at the backdrop. Then, fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter, which will be about 1..5-hour flight. Arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.

Day13 Departure.

You will be dropped off at the airport by our representative.
