Mulde View Point Trek is a short, sweet, and rewarding trip in the Lower Annapurna region of Nepal. Since other trekking trails in the Annapurna are getting overcrowded, the Mulde View Point Trek takes you through the less crowded route, leading you to the best Himalayan viewpoint. The trek is suitable for beginners and moderate adventure lovers, as well as trekkers seeking short trips in the mountains.
Driving from Pokhara to Ghandruk, the trek begins from this beautiful Gurung village. It's a great place to explore around and have lunch before heading towards Tadapani. The Gurung culture, lifestyle, food, and customs are worth exploring. You walk through the dense rhododendron forest. A couple of overnight stay points include Tadapani village before reaching Dobato. It is the last point that serves as a base camp to Mulde View Point.
Mulde View Point early morning hike offers amazing 360-degree views of the Himalayas and hilly terrains, including Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. For the best itinerary, we have managed the trek via Ghorepani-Poon Hill and back to Pokhara. But the trek can be customized according to your available days and budget.
Best Time for the Trek
Generally, Mulde View Point Trek can be done throughout the year, but there are some special seasons like Spring and Autumn. Springtime is just outstanding with the entire forest in bloom with rhododendron. Autumn is a great season, as great views and nice weather are expected. Besides them, we really recommend winter for this trek, as you can fully enjoy the trek even during the snowfall and colder days.
Permits and Paperwork
As Mulde View Point is in the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), an ACAP permit and TIMS card are required for the trek.
Guide and Porter
The trek is led by a government-authorized trekking guide and an assisting porter. They are experienced and professional in the mountain and the local lifestyles.
Trip Customization and Transportation Options
You can customize the itinerary as per your time and budget. ex. You can extend the trek to Annapurna base camp and Mardi Himal, or even make it shorter due to the time limitation.
Another option is transportation. Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu is a 7-8-hour road drive, one way. So, if you would like to skip this long driving section, you have a flight option on this route by covering the additional cost.
