    Overview

    Trekking through the deepest gorge in the world, you head to one of the most popular pilgrim destinations- Muktinath is a real introduction to the Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. To make this trek more striking, Nepal Kameleon Holidays adjoins its itinerary with the Ghorepani Poon Hill route and later avoids the motor road that is simply the best lower Annapurna trail. The fabulous trip to Jomsom Muktinath is a mixture of amazing nature with remarkable culture in a real form.  

    Once you begin the trek from Nayapul, the surprising nature entices you. From Ulleri, it goes through the dense woods of rhododendron that leads you to Ghorepani. A 1-hour hike to Poon Hill offers aerial views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu peaks along with hilly pleasant views. Trek down to Tatopani, the trek goes continually through the Kali Gandaki Riverbank. The cascading waterfalls, the deepest gorge, and the widely opened terrain make the trek awesome. The Tukuche and Nilgiri peak welcomes you to this amazing land. Leaving the  Annapurna trail, you walk in the Mustang region, which is located beyond the Annapurna peak.

    During the Jomsom Muktinath Trek, various ethnic villages, charming culture, and hospitality offer a superb experience. Gurung and Magar's settlements are found in the beginning. Once you begin to walk in the Mustang region, the Tibetan Buddhist-influenced villages prevail throughout the route. Kagbeni is one of the wonderful and antique villages.     Itinerary

    • Day 01

      Arrival at Kathmandu (1350 meters) and transfer to hotel.

      Namaste and welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the Nepal Kameleon Holidays representative receives and transfers you to the hotel. After a short refreshment, we briefly explain to you about the sightseeing trip and the preparation for the trek. Overnight at hotel. (A) 

    • Day 02

      Fly or drive to Pokhara.

      We drive through the Prithvi Highway to Pokhara, which is about 6 hrs journey. As an option: you can fly directly from Kathmandu to Pokhara for half an hour. The Himalayan panoramas on your right can be explored. Boat riding on Phewa Lake can be a superb activity in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 03

      Drive to Nayapul, trek to Tikhedhunga (1540 meters).

      After breakfast at the hotel, we take a drive to Nayapul and begin to walk. After about an hour, we reach the entry point of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Then we walk above the Bhurungdi Khola and Pass Hile. Tikhedhunga will be our stop point today. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 04

      Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860 meters).

      We begin to walk after breakfast. The countryside trail is up and down. Once we cross the stream, we walk continually uphill for about a couple of hours. From Ulleri, the trail becomes gentle and we walk through the rhododendron forest. The trail is gradually uphill till we reach Ghorepani, which is an ethnic Magar village, located below Poon Hill.     • Day 05

      Hike to Poon Hill (3210 meters) and trek to Tatopani (1190 meters).

      Early in the morning, we hike to Poon Hill, which is the best viewpoint of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri region peaks along with the best sunrise view over those peaks. This is why the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is also known as the Annapurna Sunrise trek. Having breakfast, we begin to descend through the rhododendron forest and reach Tatopani for an overnight stay. We can take a natural hot bath, which is regarded as a natural cure for various skin diseases. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A) 

    • Day 06

      Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2010 meters). 5.5-6 hrs.

      Now are heading through the direct route of Muktinath. After breakfast, we commence through the motorable road, which we leave after about 40 minutes. Then we take the sub-way trail down to the Kali Gandaki River, which gradually leads to the lower Narchyang village. The Himalayan views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri region can be explored. Trekking down, we visit Tatopani's small hydropower project and walk via Gadpar. Crossing Kopchepani, we reach Nauli Ghyang and gradually reach toe Ghasa. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 07

      Trek from Ghasa to Kokhethanti (2530 meters). About 6 hrs

      As we are away from the roadway, we can have a wonderful journey through the peaceful trail. After breakfast at Ghasa, we head passing the mani wall, ascend to the hill ridge, and continually trek down to the stream. The greeneries and waterfalls entice us to head further, after all, they energize mother nature and her incredible creation. Passing the trail near Deurali, we reach Kunjo village and head further to Kokhethanti after exploring Titi Lake. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 08

      Trek from Kokhepani to Tukuche (2590 meters). 6-7 hrs

      The widespread Kali Gandaki River beach is impressive. We begin the trek through the rocky trail, which is known as the winter path. The Tukuhe and Nilgiri can be seen as stunning. Then we trek via Sirkung, Sauru and walking through the river bed, we cross the wooden bridge and walk continually to Tukuche, where Rani, Samba, and Tukuche Gompa, Ekai Kawaguchi Residence museum lie.     • Day 09

      Trek from Tukuche to Thini (2840 meters). 5-6 hrs

      Heading from Tukuche, the trail leads from the Kali Gandaki River bank. The trail becomes gentle once we reach Chhairo. Visiting the Sanga Choling Temple, we walk exploring the green hills and reach Dhumba. Hutsapternga Gompa lies in this village. Walking further, explore Dhumba Lake and walk to Thini Gaon via Samle. Bonpo Gompa and ACAP office are located in Thini. The view of Nilgiri and Tukuche peak is awesome. The Jomsom Bazaar can be seen. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 10

      Trek from Thini to Kagbeni (2810 meters). 5 hrs

      The trail is fantastic. The arid region and stony sandy trail are dominated the way. Passing Ekle Bhatti (2740 meters), we walk continually to Kagbeni, which is an antique village on this route. It is also the gateway of Upper Mustang Trek. Mostly, trekkers prefer to walk around this ancient village and take abundant photos. Overnight at lodge. (B,L,D,A)

    • Day 11

      Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710 meters). 5-6 hrs

      With the charming scenery of the Annapurna Himalayas and Dhaulagiri, we begin to walk exploring the surrounding vistas. We pass Puthak and walking gradually, reach the renowned destination- Muktinath. We also meet the trekkers who trek down from the Thorong pass. This is a spiritual destination of the Mustang region, located beyond the Annapurna peak. Overnight at lodge. 

    • Day 12

      Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom.

      In the morning, some religious procedures go on. If you like to see that, get up in the morning and walk to the Muktinath temple. The 108 water sprouts beside the temple, pond, and everything in the surroundings have a vital role to increase the importance of the temple. The muktinath pilgrimage tour is extremely popular among Hindu devotees in Nepal, India, and other countries. After breakfast, we begin to walk down via Kagbeni. Even we can take a jeep in case you feel so tired. Walking through the Kaligandaki valley to Jomsom becomes challenging after noon time with the dusty wind. Gradually, we reach Jomsom, which is the district center of the Mustang region. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D,A) 

    • Day 13

      Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara and Pokhara city sightseeing.

      From the midpoint of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif, we take a good morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Then transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, we go sightseeing in Pokhara city. You can visit Mahendra cave, David falls, and explore Seti gorge and others. Enjoying boating on Phewa Lake is a rewarding option. Back to the hotel and rest. Overnight at hotel. (B,A)

    • Day 14

      Drive/fly back to Kathmandu.

      From Pokhara, we drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. As an option of driving, there is half an hour flight to Kathmandu. Driving takes about 6 hours. Stay relaxed in the evening or walk around the local place. Overnight at hotel. (B,A)

    • Day 15

      Departure.

      Its time to bid farewell. A Representative of Nepal Kameleon Holidays drops you to the airport for your final departure. We hope to serve you time and again. (B)
