Best Time for ABC Trek

Spring and autumn are the best trekking seasons to the Annapurna base camp trek. Spring is the time of flowers blooming and the best views due to the clear weather.

Autumn is the festival season in Nepal. Along with the ABC Trekking in Nepal, you can also explore the delighting festivals as Teej, Dashain and Tihar. The weather often remains cool with the sunny days, warm days and little bit cold nights.

Winter is another suitable time to trek for the Annapurna Base Camp, however, it becomes quite strenuous to hike through the snowy route. Trekking in winter allows you enough space with less trafficked trails throughout the route. The weather often gets crystal clear, so if you love isolation in the Himalayas and feel the meditating Himalayan region in Annapurna, trek to ABC in Winter.

Monsoon is quite exceptional to the favorable season for the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. As the Annapurna region is the most rain-falling area in Nepal, there is a chance of several landslides on the trail. Special attention is required if you are hiking to ABC in the monsoon with the rain block stuff.

Food and Accommodation

Typical Nepali food items to the Indian and continental cuisines are available on the ABC Trails.

They serve Dal Bhat (rice, lentil and curry served with pickle and salad. Chapati, noodle soup, chowmein, pizza and many more items are served by the tea houses and restaurants. They also serve American Breakfast, porridge, boiled eggs, garlic soup, chapatti omelet and many more. Meals with soup are highly recommended. Meals are hygienic.

About accommodation? No need to worry. There are lodges, also called the tea houses on the ABC Trekking Trail, but they are basic. Being basic too, they offer clean accommodation. Single room, double or three bed rooms? Depends on your group size. If you feel it pretty cold, you can ask for the extra blanket.

Beside this, you need to pay extra for hot shower and wifi.
