Upper Mustang Restricted Permits and Cost
Upper Mustang is defined as a controlled region for tour and trekking activities. You are allowed to enter only after obtaining a restricted area permit, which is also known as a Special Permit. It is issued by the Department of Immigration through the trekking agency of Nepal.

Some hotels and lodges offer cozy accommodations with clean rooms, attached bathrooms, and hot showers. If you talk specifically about Lomanthang, there is also a luxurious resort, run by the former Royal family.
You can make some choices from the menu of a restaurant or the guest house. However, as the climate is cool, people often choose Mo: Mo (dumpling), Thukpa, noodles, Dal Bhat (rice), etc. Please, do not expect pizza as delicious as in the cities.
