    Best Time for the Tour

    March-April-May (Spring): Spring is the first tourist season in Nepal. Travelers will get sunny days, often hot. It is very suitable for tours in the high-altitude terrain.     Apple Farms in Manang

    Two giant apple farms in Manang supply thousands of tons of apples in the Nepali market. One of the apple farms is located at Danakyu Bagarchhap (2190 meters), and another at Bhratang (2850 meters)- 381000 sq mt. You can enjoy the sceneries around, and taste apple and apple juice at the restaurant of the agro farms of Manang. Manang is a heaven for apple production.

    High Altitude Sickness and Preparation

    Manang is a high-altitude terrain, thus some sort of prevention should be applied for a safe trip. Although this tour has a rare chance of getting affected by the high altitude sickness, in case some of the symptoms of high altitude symptoms like Headache, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, dizziness and lightheadedness, shortness of breath, and Insomnia, you need to be careful. So drinking plenty of water, and hot soup mixed with garlic and ginger is great. It's better to bring Diamox, in case you may need it.

    Itinerary

    • Day 01

      Drive from Kathmandu to Ngadi (930 meters).

      Having breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu, the luxurious trip by 4WD Land Cruiser Jeep begins through the Prithvi Highway, following the Trishuli River. From half of the way, leave the main highway and start to follow the Marshyangdi River. From Dumre, it goes beyond the road to Pokhara and diverts towards Lamjung Besisahar. Besisahar is the capital of Lamjung. Then the road trip continues till Ngadi. Overnight at the hotel/lodge. 

    • Day 02

      Drive from Ngadi to Timang (2750 meters).

      Having breakfast at Ngadi, commence the road trip via Syange, Jagat, and Chamje. The route is fantastic as amazing waterfalls lie on the way. Syange waterfalls is 101 meters, and Chamje waterfalls is 202 meters. Continue following the Marshyangdi River and you reach Daharapani. It is a point, where Manaslu Circuit Trekkers encounter Round Annapurna trekkers. Passing Dharapani, we reach Bagarchhap and our overnight point, which is also a beautiful viewpoint at Timang. The sunset view over Annapurna II looks excellent. Overnight at the hotel/lodge. 

    • Day 03

      Drive from Temang to Ngawal (3660 meters)- Braka Manang (3440 meters). 3 hours drive

      Beginning to drive from Timang in the morning, drive continually to Koto, which is a gateway to Nar Phu Valley Trek in the controlled region. Driving ahead, we reach Chame, which is the capital of Manang district. Following continually the Marshyangdi River, we pass Bhratang and reach Dhukur Pokhari. Driving further, we pass Lower and Upper Pisang. We follow the route to Ngawal village, which is located at 3660 meters. You can enjoy the scenic spot and also explore the monastery over there- Sher Gompa and Lophelling Monastery. Then drive to Bhraka and spend overnight. Overnight at the hotel. 

    • Day 04

      Drive from Braka-Hike to Milarepa Cave-exploration-Manang.

      Good morning to a wonderful location in the Himalayas. After breakfast, it's time to hike toward the Milarepa Cave Monastery. First, we hike on a flat route for 30 minutes, cross a suspension bridge, and walk uphill, continuously for about half an hour. Then you encounter the switch back route. On the route, you will see yark herd settlement, which is quite seasonal though. Heading ahead, you walk through the wide route, gradual uphill, pine forest for about 1.5 hours. There comes the Milarepa Cave with a picturesque Gompa (Monastery nearby)

      A spiritual Guru and Yogi, Saint Milarepa is a real epitome of a struggle, who went through all the hardships and transformed his life through intense meditation and devotion to the Buddhist path. He practiced his spiritual awakening in the caves, meditating and deepening his spiritual practice in various caves of the hidden parts of the world. Thus, the hike to the Milarepa Cave is a sacred trip to the cave of the world-renowned yogi, a poet, and a religious teacher. 

      After paying homage at the cave and monastery, hike down to the Braka Village, have lunch, and drive to Manang village. Overnight at the hotel/lodge.

    • Day 05

      Hike to Praken Gompa (100 Lama). 3-4 hours, also viewpoint hike.

      The blessing day in Manang is not supposed to be spent time at the village itself. So, let's hike to the Praken Gompa, which is also known as the 100 Lama Monastery. Having breakfast, commence on a hike to the monastery, which is a steep uphill journey. However, it is a spiritual journey and at the same time a hike to a beautiful viewpoint. Manang, Annapurna II, III,  IV, Tilicho Peak, Braga, Khangsar, and many more sceneries encounter you. 

      The 100 Lama is named after the monk, named Lama Tashi, who take 100 rupees from the trekkers and bless them for the successful trek via Thorong-La Pass (5416 meters) as Manang is a trekking hub in the Annapurna Circuit Route. Mainly, the Lama offers blessings and a thread necklace. It is more delightful to be blessed at such an altitude by a Buddhist monk.  

      Then hike down to Manang and have lunch. After a short rest, take a look at the village as Manang village is worth exploring for a couple of days. Overnight at the hotel/lodge. 

       

    • Day 06

      Drive from Manang to Ngadi.

      It's time to drive back after a fantastic trip to Manag, aka the heaven in Nepal Himalayas. As the altitude decreases, the driving becomes easier and less hectic. The beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the Himalayas can be explored while driving. Even from the best viewpoint, you can stop for some snaps. Arriving at Ngadi, take a rest. Overnight at the hotel/lodge.

    • Day 07

      Drive back to Kathmandu.

      Having breakfast, we drive back following the Marshyangdi River, to Bhulbhule, Besisahar, and Dumre and connect to the Prithvi Highway. For lunch and refreshments, stop in a couple of points. Arriving at Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
