Upper Mustang Trekking is a journey to the wonderland in Nepal's Himalayan rain shadow area. With its colorful monasteries, sandy caves, Chhortens, gorges, and historically significant caves, the trek is still one of the most delightful treks in the world.  During the trek, you will visit the sacred caves and monasteries, including Chungsi Cave, Luri Gompa, Tsarang, Lomanthang stone-walled town of Lomanthang, Choser Cave, and Monasteries, along with the oldest monastery in the world- Lo Gekar Monastery (aka Ghar Gompa).

Upper Mustang's centuries-old caves and monasteries make the Mustang trek exclusively spectacular. In this new itinerary of Upper Mustang, we have re-designed the program you usually find with other agencies and tried to avoid the motor road as far as possible. On the other hand, to avoid the repetition of the trek, we have managed the return trip by jeep. The trail to Upper Mustang is less technical, but the sandy dust cannot be underestimated. The trek begins from Jomsom and leads you through the antique Himalayan towns like Kagbeni, Chhusang, and Ghami. During the trek, you will cross some of the high passes of Mustang, including Takma La Pass (3624 meters), Yamda La Pass (3850 meters), and Nyi Pass (4010 meters).

Upper Mustang is a heaven for culture lovers. It has 8th-century built oldest monastery in the old- Lo Gekar Monastery (aka Ghar Gompa), Chungsi Cave, Luri Gompa, 14th Centuries'monasteries inside the stone-walled town of Lomanthang, along with the sky Jhong Cave of Choser valley. This will allow you an opportunity to explore the hidden gems of Upper Mustang, experience Tibetan Buddhist hospitality, and take abundant pictures of the Himalayas, seen on the horizon. Well, there is another surprise in the tour, but you need to spare a day and the trip will be by horse, which will be decided on your request only. Find: Chodzong Cave Gompa in Mustang
