A wonderful project of Pokhara (Sedi) to Sarangkot Cable car project has been started. Now, travelers can enjoy a short and wonderful Pokhara to Sarangkot Cable car ride, which is a safer, hassle-free trip and it allows you an opportunity to explore the diversity of nature from the stunning viewpoint of Sarangkot. For the first time, Takasi Mihahara from Japan had envisioned the cable car project from Pokhara to Sarangkot. Mr. Takasi had married a Nepali woman, became a Nepali citizen, and participated in a parliamentary election and he had presented this project at that time. After 14 years, his plan became successful, but he died 2 years ago at the inauguration.
It was planned to run the cable car like a bus, with two Gondolas, but the plans were revised and run just like a normal cable car project. It is the 4th cable car project in Nepal- Manakamana Cable Car, Chandragiri Cable Car, Kalinchok Cable Car, and this one- Annapurna Cable Car. It passes a 2.16 km distance, which takes about 10 minutes.
They have planned to run a rock climbing and Sarangkot zip line project. After all, Sarangkot is a dramatic Himalayan viewpoint of the entire Annapurna region peaks like Mount Annapurna, Fishtail, Nilgiri, Himchuli, and Dhaulagiri.
