    Manaslu Circuit Trek Detailed Info

The magnificent trail with its delightful Himalayan vistas has made the Manaslu Circuit Trek extremely popular for adventure lovers around the globe. With the availability of the lodge (tea house) accommodation, the trek has become much more accessible for the trekkers in terms of cost. It begins from the Budi Gandaki River valley and ends at the Marshyangdi River valley of the Annapurna region. The Larke La Pass over 5000 meters connects these two regions, which is a challenging Himalayan chain pass in Nepal.

The sceneries go on changing from the beginning point-from forest and terraced hillside and jaw-dropping rocks to the glacial landscape and the grassy alpine meadows. The River Valley scene changes into the Himalayan settlements with far-fetched cultural auras in the lap of Mt. Manaslu. But the region is covered by the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP), which is a restricted region in Nepal that requires a special trekking permit.

If you love the less trafficked routes with the remote trail and the diversities in natural and cultural sceneries, do not hesitate to grab the trekking Manaslu Circuit Trail that guides you through the pristine landscape and across the technical Himalayan pass.

Manaslu Trek requires acclimatization rest on the trip as you will be walking in the alpine zones for several days, which is pretty much tough. If you are planning for this trekking, we recommend you experience the easy and lower altitude trekking that will offer you confidence and helps you to adapt to the altitude.

Based on your schedule, Manaslu Trekking can be adjoined with the Tsum Valley Route which becomes exclusively brilliant trekking. Nepal Kameleon Holidays is prepared to guide you throughout the trekking routes in the Manaslu region.

Manaslu Circuit Trek in Technicality: Is it too Difficult?

As aforementioned, Manaslu Circuit Trekking is pretty much a tough excursion in the alpine altitude, especially for about a week. The beginning section is just a gradual uphill trail but as the altitude range goes on increasing, the thin air region prevails. Thus, we strongly recommend an acclimatization day.

Located almost at 5200 meters altitude, the Larkay La Pass is the technical Himalayan high pass on the route of Manaslu Circuit Trekking. Some of the sections are tricky and slippery. So, you need to know the high pass crossing techniques (the guide of Nepal Kameleon Holidays will explain to you beforehand). Early morning starting with confidence, drinking plenty of water, and walking with care can escort you across this Himalayan pass and not let you feel the high altitude sickness.

Doing Short Manaslu Circuit Trek, is Acclimatization Necessary for Me?

Acclimatization is almost mandatory (not written but for your safety) for the Short Manaslu Circuit Trek. What we know is you will feel the altitude of thin air region above 3000 meters. As the ultimate altitude of Larkay La Pass is almost 5200 meters, we strongly recommend acclimatization for your successful trip. We suggest you not underestimate acclimatization. Your safety is the first and foremost priority.

Besides acclimatization, you should have the physical strength and confidence that you will face the slippery trail. However, our guide will assist you all the way.

    What are the Altitude Symptoms?

High Altitude Sickness is also known as Acute Mountain Sickness. When you walk at a high altitude level, the symptoms of altitude sickness can appear. It is not a great problem at the beginning, but underestimating it can be a severe problem. Generally, altitude sickness may appear above 2700 meters. Dizziness, vomiting, sleepiness, insomnia, and others are the common symptoms. If you feel it, you should try some way-outs that are easy. You should stop ascending, better to descend. Drink a lot of water, drink hot garlic soups, and stay warm.
