Australian Camp and Dhampus Hike is an excellent journey in the lower Annapurna region. The Hike can be done in a day or the hike will be best for 1 night and 2 days if you are traveling with your family.

First, you drive from Pokhara to Kande and begin the trek through the uphill route to the Australian Camp. The route is first through the open area and you will also see some local communities. However, as soon as you hike, it leads you through the dense woods.

The stone staircases make the hike a bit tough, but hiking through the dense woods is a good relief. The trail is enchanting and takes you to the viewpoint, which is Australian Camp. You may not see the Himalayan views during the day as it becomes hazy.

We recommend an overnight stay at Australian Camp for the astonishing Himalayan views.

However, if you are limited with time schedule, have lunch and descend to Dhampus. Dhampus is accessible by transportation like a jeep. After the hike, drive to Pokhara and end the trip.
