  • Day 02: Kerung to Tingri (4300m), 255 km, appx 6-7 hour drive.
  • Day 03: Tingri-Sigatse (3900m), 244 km, appx 5-6 hour drive.

Further Information of Tibet Tour

Most importantly, all travelers traveling in Tibet are kindly requested to bear in mind that Tibet being remote and isolated by the most formidable Himalayan ranges remain still one of the most captivating but least developed parts in the world. The facilities for the tourists although being upgraded are still at basis and limited scale. So, the visitors are requested not have high expectation in terms of facilities in Tibet. However, we will put all our efforts to make your journey as pleasant as possible.

Beside, the road between Tibet and Nepal is not up to the standard, it is rough, bumpy and full of bends. Particularly, during monsoon (June-August), it can be temporarily obstructed by landslides and erosion. So, a bit sporty wears and shoes are much advised facilitation the travelers to walk over the landslides.

Overcoming Altitude Problem:

Traveling in Tibet is an adventure involving high altitude and could be strenuous. So far, most visitors have only minor effects from the altitude. However, we advise specially the guests with known heart or lungs or blood diseases to consult their doctor before traveling. Mild headache, fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorder can take place before acclimatization.

Our advice: drink 3 litres of water minimum a day. Don't exhaust yourself so much and breathe deep and take a rest more than usual.

Booking and Visa Process:

Minimum 2 weeks in avance a firm booking with full payment along with full passport copy/details (including full name, DOB,place of Birth, Passport No. Date of Issue and Expiry, Profession, Sex, Home Address, Tel No, Office College Name and Address with Contact no etc) should reach us. We arrange China/Tibet Visa from Kathmandu. For Visa procedure, 3 full working days are required with a condition that clients should be available in Kathmandu.

Cancellation:

50 percent of the tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee if you cancel the tour within 7 days prior to the start of the tour. No refund, thereafter, also no shows, delay arrivals or whatsoever reasons.

Risk Liability

We shall always put all efforts in making your journey smooth and pleasant. However as all Tibet Tours are run strictly under Tibet Tourism Authority, or its agents shall not be responsible of any change or cancellation of the programs due to any unavoidable circumstances such as road blockade, flood, snow, unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrivals, sickness or accidents, any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients. So, it is most advisable that clients to have full insurance against medical and personal accidents risks, cancellation insurance is also most advised from your home country.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Kathmandu to Kerung (170 km) 6-7 hour drive.Begin to drive from Kathmandu to Kerong border (New border of Nepal-Tibet) through the winding road, loaded with impressive countryside. Arriving at the border, go to the Nepali immigration formalities and meet to our Tibetan guide and go through the immigration formalities at Chinese side and further drive to the town of Kerong and check in at the hotel. Overnight at the guest house in twin sharing room on BB basis.
  • Day 02Kerung to Tingri (4300m), 255 km, appx 6-7 hour drive.Day drive to the highest plateau of the world with typical landscape offering the sheer feeling of being on the roof of the world crossing over the 5050 meters Lalunga Pass, from where you can view the breathtaking mountain range from Mt. Cho Oyu (8210m), Mt. Shisapangma (8012m) dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan Plateau. One can also take a magnificent view of Mt. Everest (8848m) from Tingri. Overnight at the guest house in twin sharing room on BB basis.
  • Day 03Tingri-Sigatse (3900m), 244 km, appx 5-6 hour drive.Continue scenic drive through the highest point, Gyatchu La Pass (5220 m) en route Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt. Kailash bifurcates to the west. Overnight at the hotel in twin sharing room on BB basis.
  • Day 04Sigatse to Gyantse (3950m), 90 km, appx 2 hour drive.Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilumpu Monastery. Drive through the Tibet's biggest agriculture field to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa and Palkor Monastery. Overnight at the hotel in twin sharing room on BB basis.
  • Day 05Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m), 261 km.Crossing over Kambala Pass (4794m), Karola Pass (5010m) and the Brahma Putra River. Overnight at the hotel in twin sharing room on BB basis.
  • Day 06In Lhasa.Two full day sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Overnight at the hotel in twin sharing room on BB basis.
