    Itinerary

    • Day 01

      Arrival at Lhasa (3670m).

      This is the arrival day at Lhasa. You can fly from Kathmandu over the breathtaking Himalayas. Lhasa is the capital of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Then transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. 

    • Day 02

      Lhasa Sightseeing. Visit the Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Tibet Museum.

      Good morning in Lhasa. Welcome to this culturally loaded city with ancient heritages to see and explore. We visit the Potala palace, which was the abode of the Dalai Lama. There are two palaces- the red one and the white one. Tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas, Libraries, and Tibetan Buddhist sculptures can be seen. Norbulingka palace is the largest man-made garden in Tibet. It can be divided into three categories- the forest area, the palace area, and the area in front of the palace. Then we go to visit the Tibet Museum. It is located southeast of Lhasa city. Built-in 1999, it is the official museum that brings the cultural history of Tibet. Back to the hotel and take a rest. Overnight at hotel.

    • Day 03

      Lhasa Sightseeing: Visit the Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.

      Welcome for the second day's visit to Lhasa city. Go on exploring the cultural jewels. We visit the Sera Monastery, which is located just 2 km north of Lhasa, below Tatipu hill. It was built in 1914. It holds 19 hermitages and 4 nunneries. The Sera Bengqin Festival is held in this monastery. Then we go to visit the Drepung monastery. It is located at Mt. Gambo Utse, which is on the western side of Lhasa city, about 5 km away. The courtyard sites are always chosen near Zhacang and various trees are grown. It was wonderfully constructed in the form of caves and temples with white pagodas. Then we visit the Jokhang temple, located on Barkhor Square in Lhasa. It is renowned for its Buddhist pilgrimage destination. The Barkhor is a public square, located in the Jokhang Temple in central Lhasa of Tibet. During the tour of Barkhor Street, you can see the real outlook of the ancient town. Then we back to the hotel and take a rest. Overnight at hotel.

    • Day 04

      Lhasa – Gyantse (3950m) - Shigatse (3900m).

      Today, we leave Lhasa city and take a drive through the Highway that goes through the high passes. Kora LA (5010 meters) and Kamba La (4794 meters) are some of them. The exciting drive offers panoramic views of the Tibetan valleys. On the way, we can visit the Gyantse Dzong, which was built in the 14th century. Overnight at Shigatse. 

    • Day 05

      Xigatse – Ronbuk (4980m) 334km.

      In the morning, we visit the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpo Monastery, which is one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet. Then we leave Xigatse and take a scenic drive to Ronbuk, exploring those scenic panoramas. We pass the small town of Lhatse and cross Gyatmso La (5200 meters). The nomadic lifestyles can be explored there. Driving through the Pang La is just breathtaking. We can see the magnificent sceneries of the Makalu to Shishapangma range. As we reach the Ronbuk valley, the astonishing Mt. Everest can be seen. Overnight at Ronbuk.

    • Day 06

      Ronbuk – Everest BC – Xigatse (3900m).

      We can visit the Everest base camp north side by a short bus ride, which is just 8 km. The magnificent Mt. Everest and its surrounding panoramas are exclusively brilliant. We can have an impressive time at the base camp and drive down to Ronbuk. Then we drive further to Xigatse from the friendship highway, which is again impressive. Overnight at Xigatse. 

    • Day 07

      Shigatse to Lhasa (3600m) 351km.

      It’s time to return back. After a long drive through the full-speed highway, we drive back to the culturally loaded Lhasa city. It's a tiresome drive. We take a rest once we reach there. Overnight at Lhasa. 

    • Day 08

      Lhasa to Kathmandu or China.

    Further Information on the Tibet Tour

    Most importantly, all travelers traveling in Tibet are kindly requested to bear in mind that Tibet being remote and isolated by the most formidable Himalayan ranges remains still one of the most captivating but least developed parts of the world. The facilities for the tourists although being upgraded are still on a basis and limited scale. So, the visitors are requested not to have high expectations in terms of facilities in Tibet. However, we will put all our efforts to make your journey as pleasant as possible.

    Besides, the road between Tibet and Nepal is not up to the standard, it is rough, bumpy, and full of bends. Particularly, during monsoon (June-August), it can be temporarily obstructed by landslides and erosion. So, a bit of sporty wear and shoes are much-advised facilitation for the travelers to walk over the landslides.

    Overcoming Altitude Problem:

    Traveling in Tibet is an adventure involving high altitudes and could be strenuous. So far, most visitors have only minor effects from the altitude. However, we advise specially the guests with known heart or lung, or blood diseases to consult their doctor before traveling. Mild headache, fever, loss of appetite, or stomach disorder can take place before acclimatization.

    Our advice: drink 3 liters of water minimum a day. Don't exhaust yourself so much and breathe deep and take rest more than usual.

    Booking and Visa Process:

    Minimum 2 weeks in advance a firm booking with full payment along with full passport copy/details (including full name, DOB, place of Birth, Passport No. Date of Issue and Expiry, Profession, Sex, Home Address, Tel No, Office College Name and Address with Contact no, etc) should reach us. We arrange China/Tibet Visa from Kathmandu. For the Visa procedure, 3 full working days are required with a condition that clients should be available in Kathmandu.

    Cancellation:

    50 percent of the tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee if you cancel the tour within 7 days prior to the start of the tour. No refund, thereafter, also no shows, delay arrivals, or whatsoever reasons.

    Risk Liability

    We shall always put all efforts into making your journey smooth and pleasant. However as all Tibet Tours are run strictly under Tibet Tourism Authority, its agents shall not be responsible for any change or cancellation of the programs due to any unavoidable circumstances such as road blockade, flood, snow, unrest, cancellation of flight, delayed arrivals, sickness or accidents, any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients. So, it is most advisable that clients have full insurance against medical and personal accident risks, cancellation insurance is also most advised from your home country.
