Itinerary with flights (Option 2)

Day 01: Fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu and do Pokhara sightseeing. 

Day 02: Fly to Jomsom, drive to Muktinath, Puja, and drive back to Jomsom.

The Best Season/Time for the Muktinath Jeep Tour

Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour becomes comfortable throughout the year, except during monsoon. In the lower part (Beni-Tatopani), there will be heavy rainfall during monsoon, so expect it, you can enjoy the Mustang Jeep tour throughout the year.

To be safe from it, it's better to spend at least an overnight below 3000 meters. So, Lete/Marpha or Jomsom can be the best point, before you proceed to Muktinath temple.

However, there are some preplan for high altitude sickness in case it might happen. Here are some tips:

• Ginger and garlic are good for your health in high altitude

Muktinath Temple

Muktinath Temple is located at 3750 meters altitude above sea level. The temple is globally renowned for its spiritual fascination. A legendary myth about this temple is if you visit Muktinath temple, all your sins will be washed away. Hindu devotees around the globe visit this temple as their pilgrimage trip.  Devotees take holy baths under 108 water sprouts and ponds. Due to the altitude, some travelers may find it difficult to reach the temple by walking, and for this reason, you can hire a pony or carry yourself on a stretcher.

Dhumba Lake

Dhumba Lake of Mustang is a romantic Lake on the bosom of Mt. Nilgiri Peak, neighbored by Tilicho Peak.
