    A highly challenging and technical trek in the Everest region- the Everest Gokyo Lake Cho La Pass Trek is a dream trip for adventure lovers around the world. The trek is extremely popular for the scenic features it bears and the destinations it covers passing through the spectacular landscape and the hidden Sherpa valleys. The trek marks the single perfect trip that includes the adventure ethos, walking through the steep and icy trail of the Cho La Pass, from the Gokyo Valley, and trekking to the world’s awe-inspiring destination of Everest base camp.

    Taking a good morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the Everest Gokyo Lake Cho La Pass trek goes through the gentle trail to Phakding crossing the steel bridge. Once you reach Jorsalle, you commence up and take an explore day at Namche Bazaar help you to acclimatize. The aura of the Sherpa cultural heritages as ancient monasteries and the local customs entice you wonderfully. The trail to Gokyo Valley is still challenging, but not a big deal for those envisioning trekking via the Cho La Pass. An acclimatizing day with the hike to Gokyo Ri as suggested by Nepal Kameleon Holidays offers breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and the neighboring peaks. Redirecting to the Cho La top via Dragnag, the technical route begins. Scrambling uphill, the increasingly thin air region and steep rock falling route appear as a challenge, but once you put your feet on the gigantic boulders, they energize you to head upwards. The mind-blowing sceneries swap your tiredness into motivation.     

    Walking down gradually from the Cho La top (5330 meters) through the natural staircase, you reach Dzongla and climb up to Lobuche. Trek to Everest base camp is a step ahead via Gorakshep. This world-class epic route is awesome. To celebrate the trip's success, you trek down to Lukla via Pangboche and conclude the Everest Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek with a flight to Kathmandu.

    Itinerary

    • Day 01

      Arrival at Kathmandu (1350 meters) and transfer to hotel.

      Namaste and welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the Nepal Kameleon Holidays representative receives and transfers you to the hotel. After a short refreshment, we briefly explain to you about the sightseeing trip and the preparation for the trek. Overnight at the hotel. (Accommodation) 

    • Day 02

      Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Then we set out for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, exploring some of the unique monumental sites that are enlisted in the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO.

      Visit the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple).

      Visit Pashupatinath Temple

      Visit Boudhanath Stupa

      Then drive back to the hotel and buy something that you want to take in trekking. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast, Accommodation)

    • Day 03

      Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800 meters), Trek to Phakding (2640 meters).

      From Kathmandu, we drive to the domestic airport and take an early morning flight to Lukla. The dramatic peaks of the Everest region expose themselves with an extremely alluring smile. Meeting the rest crew in Lukla, we have breakfast. It is about 3 hours to walk further through the pretty easier trail, not too tiring. We pass some potato fields and down there, we can hear the sound of the Dudh Koshi River. Our destination for today is Phakding. Overnight at lodge/tea house.     • Day 04

      Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters).

      Having breakfast, on the second day of the trek to Everest base camp, we commence through the mixed-up trail. We cross numerous swaying steel bridges and officially enter the Sagarmatha National Park. The steep climb-up trail leads us through the forest and relying on persistent physical effort, we reach the horseshoe-shaped Namche Bazaar. The dramatic first sight of Everest can be enjoyed while climbing up. It is the place for exploration and acclimatization, where we can find local markets, restaurants, internet service.     • Day 05

      Exploration and acclimatization day.

      On the acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar, set out for the day hiking after breakfast. We trek higher, exploring the Sherpa cultural heritages, lifestyles, and the surroundings of the traditional villages. It takes about 6 hours to head around the locality that keeps our body acclimatized. Acclimatization is unavoidable for walking above 3000 meters and Namche Bazaar is already at 3440 meters. Then we come back and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 06

      Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse Tenga (3600 meters).

      Commencing from Namche Bazaar after breakfast, we climb up to the hill ridge for an hour and walk through the gentle trail. The trail is dotted with dense woods and the views of various wild animals are superb. Phortse Tenga is a tiny village that has some Sherpa cultural attractions like prayer wheels and so on. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 07

      Trek from Phortse Tenga to Machhermo (4470 meters).

      We begin to trek from Phortse Tenga after breakfast. The journey begins by crossing the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Climbing up, we can get the scenery of the breathtaking waterfall, and after we continually walk to Dole. Walking further, the pleasant views of Mt. Cho-Oyu, Kangtega, and Thamserku entice us extremely. Heading through the Dudh Koshi valley, we pass the rocky trail and the trail dotted with the alpine meadows to Machhermo. If you feel any altitude symptoms, you can get primary care/treatment. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 08

      Walk from Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4750 meters).

      We climb up continually from Machhermo and reach Phang. After a short break, we reach the first Lake, called Longpongo. The Ngozumba glacier spreads over here, is the longest glacier in Nepal. Walking further, we reach the second Lake, known as Taboche Tsho at 4740 meters. The third Lake is Dudh Pokhari, which is Gokyo Lake (4750 meters). There are tea houses beside the Lake and the valley has got the last settlement in this area. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 09

      Explore around the Gokyo valley, walk to Gokyo Ri (5360 meters).

      We should not miss the golden panoramas from Gokyo Ri. Thus, we begin to hike there early in the morning. The excellent sunrise view over Mt. Everest, Makalu, Gokyo peak, and the surroundings can be explored. We can climb the Gokyo peak (5360 meters). Ngozumba glacier can be seen as more spectacular. The fourth Lake (Thonak Tsho) and the fifth Lake (Ngozumba Tso) increase the adornment of the journey to Gokyo Ri. Then we retrace to the Gokyo valley and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house.     • Day 10

      Trek from Gokyo valley to Thangnag (4765 meters).

      We retrace Longpongo, which is about an hour from the Gokyo valley. Then the trek splits from the trail we used and heads toward Dragnag. The views of the surrounding valleys can be seen as awe-inspiring. Crossing the Ngozumba glacier, we reach Thangnag. With the syrups of tea, we just imagine how tough it will be on the following day.     • Day 11

      Trek from Thangnag to Dzongla (4830m) via Cho La Pass (5330 meters).

    • Day 12

      Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche (4910 meters).

      Again, climbing down from Dzongla is challenging as it is a cross-country trail. We walk down to the Lobuche Kharka and walk higher passing tombstones and finding the main way to Everest base camp above Thukla. Enjoying the view of the Khumbu glacier, we walk further to Lobuche through the gentle trail. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 13

      Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170 meters)-hike to Everest base camp (5364 meters) and descend to Gorakshep.

      The trek commences after breakfast. We walk through the next site of the Khumbu glacier. It is a steep climb of about an hour to the ridge through the rock-faced trail. Crossing the Lobuche Pass, we reach Gorakshep. We rest a while and leaving the stuff at the guesthouse, we hike to the Everest base camp. Mt. Pumori and Nuptse welcome us with their fabulous smile. En route, we the impressive presence of the gigantic Mt. Everest, the roof of the world, and Khumbu Icefall loom before us. During the climbing seasons, the climbers set camps and the surrounding becomes much delighting. Then we retrace to the Gorakshep and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house.     • Day 14

      Trek to Kalapatthar (5550 meters), climb down to Gorakshep and to Pheriche (4280 meters).

      Early morning, we get up and begin to climb to the Kalapatthar. It is the most altitude point of this trek and the best viewpoint of the Everest region peaks. Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lobuche East, Pumori, and the towering peaks in their surroundings appear with their golden summits due to the sunrise. Arresting this awesome moment with snaps, hike down to Gorakshep, and have breakfast. Then we trek down to Pheriche gradually and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house.     • Day 15

      Trek from Pheriche to Kyangjuma (3550 meters).

      After breakfast, we commence through the downhill trail. We reach Pangboche, which is a spiritually significant destination at first, and then walk further to Phunki Tenga which gradually leads us to Kyangjuma through the pine forest. The last section of the trail is uphill. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 16

      Trek from Kyangjuma to Monjo (2835 meters).

      Via Namche Bazaar, we trek down to Monju from Kyangjuma. The trail is all the way downhill once we reach the Sherpa habitants of Namche. If you want to buy some souvenirs from the Everest region, you may find something special for your relatives or loved ones. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 17

      Trek from Monju to Lukla.

      This is the last walking day. We begin to climb down to Phakding, cross the suspension bridge, and continue gradually to Lukla. At the last moment, we celebrate with the crew and stay relaxed. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 18

      Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu.

      We fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu, enjoying the mountain views we explored during the trekking. Then transfer to the hotel. The rest day is for you to get cleaned, do laundry, and take a rest. Or what is necessary for you. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast, Accommodation) 

    • Day 19

      Departure.

      It's time to bid farewell. A representative of the Nepal Kameleon Holidays drops you to the airport for your final departure. We hope to serve you time and again. (Breakfast)
