    Best Season for Everest Three High Passes Trek

    There are six peak months, belonging to two big seasons. Spring (March-April-May) is known as the first season when the weather gets amazing with warm days. The clouds will not block the Himalayan views and you feel it so good to cross three high passes above 5000 meters in the Everest region. 

    Autumn (September-October-November) welcomes adventure lovers in Nepal. The season begins in September, offering the best days in October and amazing weather in November. Especially about winter, which becomes so tough to cross the high passes with the heaps of snow, so better to find out the main seasons.

    The Route of the Everest Three High Passes Trek is located in the remote Himalayan terrain. It is so isolated but the route is facilitated with hotels and lodges. In the depth of the Himalayas, the lodges and hotels welcome hundreds of trekkers every day in the season. The trail has got mixed types of hotels and lodges.     Our guides and porters have decades of experience in the Nepal Himalayas. Everest Three High Passes guides and porters are well known for the routes, and challenges and know how to defend them. Guides are government-authorized and licensed. Porters take your belongings safely to your destination.

    Itinerary

    • Day 01

      Arrival at Kathmandu (1350 meters) and transfer to hotel.

      Namaste and welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal Kameleon Holidays representative receives and transfers you to the hotel. After a short refreshment, we briefly explain to you about the sightseeing trip and the preparation for the trek. Overnight at the hotel. (Accommodation) 

    • Day 02

      Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Then we set out for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, exploring some of the unique monumental sites that are enlisted in the World Heritage Sites UNESCO. Visit the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). Visit Pashupatinath Temple Visit Boudhanath Stupa. Then drive back to the hotel and buy something that you want to take in trekking. Overnight at the hotel.     • Day 03

      Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800 meters), Trek to Phakding (2640 meters).

      From Kathmandu, we drive to the domestic airport and take an early morning flight to Lukla. The dramatic peaks of the Everest region expose themselves with an extremely alluring smile. Meeting the rest crew in Lukla, we have breakfast. It is about 3 hours to walk further through the pretty easier trail, not too tiring. We pass some potato fields and down there, we can hear the sound of the Dudh Koshi River. Our destination for today is Phakding. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 04

      Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters).

      Having breakfast, on the second day of the trek to Everest base camp, we commence through the mixed-up trail. We cross numerous swaying steel bridges and officially enter the Sagarmatha National Park. The steep climb-up trail leads us through the forest and relying on persistent physical effort, we reach the horseshoe-shaped Namche Bazaar. The dramatic first sight of Everest can be enjoyed while climbing up. It is the place for exploration and acclimatization, where we can find local markets, restaurants, and internet service. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 05

      Exploration and acclimatization day.

      On the acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar, set out for the day hiking after breakfast. We walk higher, exploring the Sherpa cultural heritages, lifestyles, and the surroundings of the traditional villages. It takes about 6 hours to head around the locality that keeps our body acclimatized. Acclimatization is unavoidable for walking above 3000 meters and Namche Bazaar is already at 3440 meters. Then we come back and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 06

      Trek to Thame (3820m).

      Walk to Gokyo (4790m) via Renjo La Pass (5340m).

    • Day 09

      Hike to Gokyo Ri (5360 meters), trek to Thangnak. .

      Gokyo Ri is located at 5357 meters altitude and is a wonderful day hike destination in Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek. it begins right after breakfast. With a gradual ascend; you reach the top, which offers dramatic Himalayan sceneries- Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and the surrounding snowy peaks. Another awesome view is of the Ngozumba glacier which stretches and makes the record of the longest glacier in Nepal. After about 5 hours of trek, we climb down to Gokyo, have lunch, and head for the next camp, which is Thangnak, which is a trek of 2.5 hours, and prepare for the big day on the following. Overnight at the lodge. 

    • Day 10

      Thangnang-Cho La Pass-Dzongla.

      There are two options for the breakfast. Having early breakfast at the hotel or bringing the packed breakfast and lunch. We start our trek early in the morning as we need to cross an alpine high pass. With a gradual walk, we reach the base of the pass in about 3 hours. With excitement, the journey continues toward the top for a couple of hours and you reach the top. From the top of Cho La Pass, you get the breathtaking Himalayan scenery of Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and others. From the top, crossing the crevasses, you hike down all the way to Dzongla for 4 hours. Overnight at the lodge.

    • Day 11

      Walk from Dzongla to Lobuche (4910 meters).

      Again, climbing down from Dzongla is challenging as it is a cross-country trail. We walk down to the Lobuche Kharka and walk higher passing tombstones and finding the main way to Everest base camp above Thukla. Enjoying the view of the Khumbu glacier, we walk further to Lobuche through the gentle trail. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 12

      Walk from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170 meters)-hike to Everest base camp (5364 meters) and descend to Gorakshep.

      The trek commences after breakfast. We walk through the next site of the Khumbu glacier. It is a steep climb of about an hour to the ridge through the rock-faced trail. Crossing the Lobuche Pass, we reach Gorakshep. We rest a while and leaving the stuff at the guesthouse, we hike to the Everest base camp. Mt. Pumori and Nuptse welcome us with their fabulous smile. En route, we the impressive presence of gigantic Mt. Everest, the roof of the world, and Khumbu Icefall loom before us. During the climbing seasons, the climbers set camps and the surrounding becomes much delighting. Then we retrace to the Gorakshep and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 13

      Walk to Kalapatthar (5550 meters), climb down to Gorakshep and to Lobuche (4280 meters).

      Early morning, we get up and begin to climb to the Kalapatthar. It is the most altitude point of this trek and the best viewpoint of the Everest region peaks. Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lobuche East, Pumori, and the towering peaks in their surroundings appear with their golden summits due to the sunrise. Arresting this awesome moment with snaps, hike down to Gorakshep, and have breakfast. Then we trek down to Lobuche gradually and rest. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 14

      Walk from Lobuche to Chhukung via Khongma La Pass (5555 meters).

    • Day 15

      Walk from Chhukung to Kyangjuma.

      After breakfast, we commence through the downhill trail. We reach Pangboche, which is a spiritually significant destination at first, and then walk further to Phunki Tenga which gradually leads us to Kyangjuma through the pine forest. The last section of the trail is uphill. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 16

      Walk from Kyangjuma to Monju (2835 meters).

      Via Namche Bazaar, we trek down to Monju from Kyangjuma. The trail is all the way downhill once we reach to the Sherpa habitants of Namche. If you want to buy some souvenirs from the Everest region, you may find something special for your relatives or loved ones. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 17

      Walk from Monju to Lukla.

      This is the last walking day. We begin to climb down to Phakding, cross the suspension bridge, and continue gradually to Lukla. At the last moment, we celebrate with the crew and stay relaxed. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation) 

    • Day 18

      Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu.

      We fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu, enjoying the mountain views we explored during the trekking. Then transfer to the hotel. The rest day is for you to get cleaned, do laundry and take a rest. Or what is necessary for you. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast, Accommodation)

    • Day 19

      Departure.

      It's time to bid farewell. A representative of the Nepal Kameleon Holidays drops you to the airport for your final departure. We hope to serve you time and again. (Breakfast)
