Everest Three Pass Trek: an Iconic Adventure in Everest Region

Everest Three Pass Adventure Trek is an epitome of a real adventure excursion in the Himalayas. Only a daring heart can deal it and sometimes it becomes much more technical to cross the high passes over 5000 meters. The trek connects the Gokyo valley and Lake along with the Everest base camp on the way.

The trek begins from Lukla after a Himalayan flight from Kathmandu. The enchanting excursion in Khumbu leads you through the Sherpa communities and eye-catching landscape. The first pass of this trek is Renjo La (5340 meters). Crossing this pass, you trek down to the Gokyo Lake. Exploration of the Gokyo valley and Gokyo Ri, you will get an amazing opportunity to witness the giant peaks of the Everest region, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and the surrounding peaks.

The giant adventure is a step ahead, which is known as the Cho La Pass (5330 meters). It is regarded as a technical cross through the glacier. After the pass, you trek to the Everest base camp and Kalapatthar. To be honest, trekkers feel it lazy to go to the EBC as they will be witnessing all the Himalayan peaks and having much more adventure while crossing the previous two high passes.

The third high pass is Khongma La Pass (5555 meters). It is a long walk to Chhukung, which is a gateway of the Island peak climbing. The trek makes a round bread and you trek down to Namche Bazaar via Tengbuche Monastery. Then, its all the way to Lukla, where the trek ends and fly back to Kathmandu.
