The exciting Annapurna Khayer Lake trekking begins from various gateways. Trekking from Nayapul can be a good option to enjoy the gentle trek with the impressive sceneries. Poon Hill (3210 meters) is a wonderful viewpoint that comes during the trek who enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. South Annapurna, Himchuli, Fishtail, Manaslu range, Dhaulagiri, and valley views. Up to this part, the trail is quite trafficked. When you split through this busy trail and head towards the Khayer Lake, you can really enjoy the melodious sound of birds, an oasis of the untouched trail, and the awesome sceneries of Annapurna avoiding the crowded trail. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.Namaste and welcome to Nepal. At your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal Kameleon Holidays’ representative receives and transfers you to the hotel. After a short refreshment, we briefly explain you about the following day's itinerary. Overnight at hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation.After the breakfast, set out for the sightseeing. Visit the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Visit Pashupatinath Temple Visit Boudhanath Stupa. Overnight at hotel. (B,A)
  • Day 03Drive to Pokhara (820m). 6-7 hours.We drive through the Prithvi Highway to Pokhara, which is about 6 hrs journey. As an option: you can fly directly from Kathmandu to Pokhara for half an hour. The Himalayan panoramas on your right can be explored. The boat riding on the Phewa Lake can be a superb activity at the afternoon. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 04Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga 1 hrs drive, 3 hrs trek.After breakfast at the hotel, we take a drive to Nayapul and begin to walk. After about an hour, we reach to the entry point of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Then we walk above the Bhurungdi Khola and Pass Hile. Tikhedhunga will be our stop point today. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 05Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m). 5-6 hours. We begin to walk after breakfast. The countryside trail is up and down. Once we cross the stream, we walk continual uphill for about a couple of hours. From Ulleri, the trail becomes gentle and we walk through the rhododendron forest. The trail is gradual uphill till we reach to Ghorepani, which is an ethnic Magar village, located below the Poon Hill. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 06Early morning sunrise hike to Poon Hill (3210m), and trek to Swat village. 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 07Swat Village to Kobra Danda (4020m). 5-6 hours.
  • Day 08Kobra Danda to Khayer Base camp (4620m). 4-5 hours.
  • Day 09Explore around the Khayer base camp.
  • Day 10Khayer Base camp to Kobra Danda. 5-6 hours.
  • Day 11Kobra Danda to Chistibung (3100m). 4-5 hours.
  • Day 12Chistibung to Dobato (3460m). 5-6 hours
  • Day 13Dobato to Tadapani (2520m). 4-5 hours.
  • Day 14Tadapani to Ghandruk village. 3-4 hours. After breakfast, walk down to the Gurung village- Ghandruk. It’s a continual downhill walk via Bhaisikharka (buffalo grazing meadow). Ghandruk is located just down. It is a typical village that preserves folk culture and charming hospitality. Gurung museum and their traditional lifestyles are wonderful. We walk around the village. Overnight at lodge/tea house. (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 15Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. 4 hrs trek, 1 hour drive.From Ghandruk, we begin to trek down. After about an hour, we reach to the road. But we avoid the road and take another route down to Syaulibazaar. We walk more to Nayapul. Checking out from ACAP counter, we drive further to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 16Fly/drive back to Kathmandu.It takes about 6 hours to drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Another option is to fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Then transfer to the hotel. Walk around the local marketplace and buy the souvenirs if you like. Overnight at hotel. (B,A)
  • Day 17Final departure. Its time to bid farewell. Representative of Nepal Kameleon Holidays drops you to the airport for your final departure. We hope to serve you time and again. (B)
