Manaslu Trek Information 2019-2020: Not Heavily Crowded, Best Seasons, Guide Cost and Itinerary

Manaslu Circuit Trek is an iconic trip in Nepal for the adventure lovers. It is named after the world famous 8000 meter peak of Mt. Manaslu (8163 meters), the 7th tallest peak in the world. Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP) bounds the trekking region that begins from Soti Khola all the way following the bank of the Budi Gandaki River Valley, heading through the Tibetan Buddhist ethnic communities and crossing the adventurous Thorong La Pass (5165 meters).

Jess Tyler, who had done Round Manaslu Trekking with his dad in 2013 shares his memory like this: The scenery was fantastic, the lush green lower parts of the trek with forests of flowering rhododendrons, the gushing Budi Gandaki River whose source resides in Tibet, the cutting gorges and tight valleys, and the far reaching mountain views with glorious clear views of the mountain itself, Manaslu.

No doubt, the nature has made Manaslu region diverse. The giant Himalayan boulders, green hills, rare found flora and fauna along with the typical Tibetan Buddhist ethnic culture and ancient heritages.

Well, you will meet several trekkers on the way, especially in the tea houses when you take a rest. But, it is  not heavily crowded as  Everest base camp trek or the Annapurna  base camp trekking. Rather, you will have some companies in your card game or to share some  stories.  If you want to avoid a big crowd, please, select Manaslu trail and experience the dramatic adventure.

This is the same route that Manaslu Expedition Team will head through. They make the expedition before crossing the Larke La Pass.

Know About High Altitude sickness and Acclimatization

High altitude sickness not a disease in itself, but it can cause a serious harm if it is not responded on time. While heading to the alpine zone, above 2700 meters, you feel the altitude slowing down your pace of walk. Dizziness, vomiting, over sleep, insomnia and others are the common symptoms. If you feel it, you should try some way outs that are easy. You should stop ascending, better to descend. Drink a lot of water, drink hot garlic soups and stay warm.
