Itinerary of Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trekking

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to hotel.

Welcome to Nepal. Our company representative receives you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel. You will be given a short briefing about the programs on the following days. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1600m).

After the breakfast, drive to Syaphrubesi, exploring the mind-blowing countryside views, River Valleys and the Himalayan peaks of the Langtang region. Syaphrubesi is a gateway of the Langtang region and Gosaikunda Lake. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m).

The first day trek begins after the breakfast and head through the Langtang River bank. It is a gentle walk that offers the countryside green hill terraces that magnificently allure you to march forward. Langtang National Park, through which this trek goes, is rich in various flora and fauna, including the red panda and snow leopard. Lama Hotel is today's destination. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m).

From Lama Hotel, the journey begins, stepping through the gradual uphill trail, continually till you see the fluttering Buddhist prayer flags. The rhododendron forest does not let you feel the direct sun. The ethnic Tamang village at Langtang is a short walk away from Ghoda Tabela, which is a typical village with the preservation of the ancient culture and traditional way of living. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3870m).

From Langtang village, the trail is few up and down, but the local lifestyle on the way is worth to explore. You can see the mani walls, Buddhist environment with colorful flags and the stone huts during the trek. Kyanjin village is also a spiritual center for all the Buddhist devotees throughout the Langtang region as it has got famous Kyanjin monastery. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 06: Climb to Kyanjin Ri (4900 meters) and back to Kyangjin Gompa.

The morning begins with a wonderful breakfast. Packing the required foods and water, begin to hike towards the Tserko Ri. The majestic peaks of the langtang region and the Tibetan peaks comes to your eye-level. Langtang Lirung, Ghenchhenpo and other peaks are incredible. The day hike is more than a walk, but a wonderful exploration of this amazing landscape. Back to Kyanjin and rest. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m).

From  Kyanjin, begin to trek down after the breakfast. The trail is almost downhill that is dotted by the rhododendron flower and oak trees. Langtang National Park is the home of Red Panda and Snow leopard. The trek is faster as the trail is just down and down. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabrubesi (2200m).

From Lama hotel, the trail splits towards Thulo Syabru after the breakfast. Heading through the peaceful trail, various up and down route makes it a mixed dish. Passing the ethnic communities, it leads you to Thulo Syaphru. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 09: Trek to Sing Gompa (3580m).

After the breakfast, today's excursion begins through the steep uphill climb. The trail is a unique natural way, dominated by the oak and hemlock forest. Walking continuously through The Foprang ridge, trek further to Sing Gompa, which is comparatively a shorter trek that backs up for tomorrow. Overnight at lodge.  

 

Day 10: Trek to Gosainkunda (4381m).

The good morning breakfast energizes to walk through the Cholang Pati and explore the breathtaking views of Langtang range, and Ganesh Himal. The gradual trek through the rhododendron forest leads you to the Gosaikunda Lake, which is surrounded by other Lakes at the center. The Lake is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva by himself to cool down his poisoned body. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 11: Cross over the Lauribina Pass (4600m) descend to Thare pati (3600m).

With an early breakfast, the day begins with a climb towards the Lauribina Pass that lies at 4610 meters altitude. This is another awesome moment to explore the dramatic sceneries of the Langtang region and the Himalayas. Descending from the pass, it is a steep trek down to Ghopte via Phedi and trek further to Tharepati. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 12: Trek to Kutumsang.

The stunning Tharepati Pass has made you strong enough to deal the steep up and downhill trail. After the breakfast, walk downhill to Mangengoth. The cascading waterfalls allure you. Eventually you reach to Kutumsang, which is an ethnic community with beautiful Manistones and cave. This truly represents the picturesque Helambu. Overnight at lodge.

 

Day 13: Trek to Chisapani.

From Kutumsang, begin the trek via Gul Bhanjyang after the breakfast. The trail is steep down, but comparatively easy. The chirping melody of the birds, the oasis of the woods and the enticing greeneries are the motivating force to encourage you for moving ahead. Passing Chipling and Pati Bhanjyang, reach to Chisapani and rest. Overnight at lodge. 

 

Day 14: Trek to Sundarijal and drive Back to Kathmandu.

The last day of the foothill excursion in the Langtang region begins after the breakfast at Chisapani, heading to Sundarijal. Passing Borlang Pass and Mulkharka, it leads you to the watershed area of the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. From Sundarijal, catch the car/bus/taxi to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 15: Farewell.
