Annapurna Circuit Trek in Operation After a Month Long Blockage

After a month long blockage, Annapurna circuit trekking trail has started to welcome the trekkers. Due to the heavy snowfall at the Thorong La Pass and around Manang Mustang side, the route was blocked for a month. With an effort of the local entrepreneurs of the Manang village, they outlined the route on the heavy snow that has successfully opened this world renowned trekking trail in Annapurna.

According to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) office in Jomsom, the route has been opened with a huge struggle and different groups of trekkers have already crossed this 5416 meters Thorong La Pass and reached to Jomsom.

They have traced out the trail with their experience and the sign boards. The heavy snowfall has not been melted and still, it is at the knee level. However, if there will not be the new snow fall, the trail will become visible within a week.

Annapurna circuit trek connects Manang (Annapurna) and Mustang region after crossing the 5416 meters Thorong La Pass, which is one of the most popular trekking in Nepal for the adventure lovers. Find out the trek: Annapurna Circuit Trek
